VF-1 Wolfpack HGU-33 Pilot Helmet
This shirt features the HGU-33 made famous by Cdr. CJ "HEATER" Heatley in his first published book in 1986, The Cutting Edge.
During the 1980s, VF-1 “Wolfpack” represented one of the U.S. Navy’s premier F-14 Tomcat fighter squadrons, recognized by its distinctive red wolf markings and long association with the legendary Tomcat. Among the aviators who flew with VF-1 was Lt. Cdr. Charles “Heater” Heatley, an accomplished F-14 pilot who later became a TOPGUN instructor. Heatley’s spectacular aerial photography helped capture the power and beauty of the F-14 and preserve the unmistakable look of U.S. Naval Aviation during the 1980s.
