Based at NAS Miramar, the squadron was famous for its striking rising-sun tail markings and distinctive shark-mouth nose art. Flying the F-14A from carriers including USS Kitty Hawk and USS Carl Vinson, the Sundowners served throughout the Pacific while maintaining the squadron’s long-standing fighter heritage. Their bold markings and the unmistakable profile of the Tomcat made VF-111 an enduring icon of 1980s U.S. Naval Aviation.

Product features

- Medium-weight (6.0 oz) vintage-feel cotton for a substantial, lived-in hand

- Tubular knit body (no side seams) reduces waste and creates a clean silhouette

- Ribbed collar and shoulder tape for shape retention and durability

- Classic fit with sewn-in label;
